Prof. Francis Eric Amuquandoh is a Professor of Tourism in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Cape Coast. He holds multiple degrees including a Diploma in War Studies, a Diploma in Education, a BA and an MPhil in Tourism from the University of Cape Coast, a professional Master's in Geoinformation Science from the International Institute of Aerospace and Earth Science in the Netherlands, and a PhD in Tourism from the University of Strathclyde and University of Cape Coast. He is a Commonwealth Fellow, United Nations Remote Sensing Training Educator, and an alumnus of the Galilee International Management Institute in Israel. He served as a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey in 2013. Prof. Amuquandoh was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011 and full Professor in 2016. He has held several administrative roles including Head of Department, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and currently, Acting Provost of the College of Humanities and Legal Studies. His research focuses on Food Tourism, Ecotourism, Volunteer Tourism, and Community and Tourism. He was a resource editor for Annals of Tourism Research and is currently on the editorial board of Oguaa Social Sciences Journal and the Advisory Board of Takoradi Technical University Journal of Technology. Prof. Amuquandoh is married to Miss Victoria Kwenin and they have three children.
